2010 Basketball Tournament

Our Club congratulates and thanks all the teams who participated this year, Barnet, BMU, Haverhill, Lyndon, Monroe, St Johnsbury, Rivendell and Waterford. The Club appreciates that every team played hard and showed good sportsmanship, on and off the court.

The Lady Eagles defeated the BMU Lady Bucks, 29-16, to win the girls championship game on Sunday. The Bucks overcame the Eagles, 35-20, to win the boys championship. In the consolation games, the Barnet Lady Bulldogs beat Monroe’s Lady Mustangs and the Bulldogs beat the Mustangs.

Named to the girls All Tourney Team were Kylie Valentine from Barnet, Danielle Marten from Monroe, Torie Peters from BMU along with Jourdan Buck and Jessica Remick, both from Waterford. Jordan Farquharson from BMU was named the Girls MVP.

The boys All Tourney Team was Billy Brink from Barnet, Jeremiah Currier from Monroe, Phillip Gibson from BMU along with PJ Wright and Jacob Tollett both from Waterford. Nick Gordon from BMU was named the Boys MVP.

The Club is very grateful for all the assistance provided by so many people. Thanks to Bob & Lori Rowden and the BMU varsity basketball teams for volunteering to handle the snack bar. Thank you to Steve Peck, Dave Saikin, Eric Trucott, Gary White, Glen Wagner, Jim Turner, Norm Stevenson, Rosie Chaloux, Steve Bean and Eric Tollett who volunteered their time as referees. And, as always, everyone at BMU went out of their way to make our tournament a success.

Funds from the tournament & photo sales go to the Club’s scholarship fund. Details and applications for this year’s scholarship will be available shortly on this site and at each school’s guidance department.
